Went shopping today. Spend super long walking all over Northpoint today. Apparently there are festive sales everywhere, so we managed to get some nice clothes rather cheaply. Bought two new books and an organiser for2009. The organiser cost me a good 17 bucks, so I'll definitely be utilising it. Its been some time since I last bought a book (probably Harry Potter), but these two books are definitely worth the 50+ bucks I invested on them.
Omg. I just saw Campus SuperStar on tv, and well, its just as expected. Another typical rubbishy singapore show. Maybe its just me, but I think these singaporean shows are waaay too substandard. First of all, the hosts are not quite there yet. No offense to Felicia and Pornsak, (both of whom i really like btw), but they really seem quite awkward on the stage. Perhaps its because the show was planned so poorly they couldnt really do much, but if they are unable to keep the hype up, then the audience is sure to grow bored soon.
Speaking of tv shows, it seems like Mediacorp has finally made its one wise move by buying the 康熙来了 talkshow. Watching it for more than three years more or less gives me the right to recommend this show, and I must say it really is an important part of my life. For the past three years I have been going on to youtube to watch the show every tuesday to saturday. I will faithfully type in the url and tune in to an hour of laughter watching the two extremely competent hosts. I must say, 小S has single-handedly made me laugh more than anyone else on the planet has ever managed to. All in all, its definitely a show worth watching, but the episodes will probably be lagging two to three months behind Taiwan's. Nothing's going to stand in the way of my daily dosage of 康熙来了, so I'll still be watching it on youtube. For those who havent been watching it, give it a shot. You wont regret it. Meanwhile, continue boycotting the rest of the Mediacorp shows.
